Fuerte avocados are the best there are. The skin is lovely and soft and is quite edible. Their flavour is unsurpassed. Salt and pepper and a little balsamic vinegar bring out the best in them. As-is or on toast, they make for a wonderful snack. Sure, they enhance a salad, but why spoil a delicious avocado pear by putting it in salad?
Some people allow them to ripen and then put them in a refrigerator. I prefer to put them in the refrigerator and then take one out at a time to ripen to perfection the next day, or two days later, depending on how green they are.
They always arrive in good shape and still quite green so i have never experienced any wastage.

Customer service and response was excellent. First time customer. I goofed a bit on the delivery, trying to account for the recipient of our gift being out of town but also trying to account for ripening time so that they could really enjoy the product at its peak. I emailed after placing my order, not expecting much, and to my surprise, the emails back and forth resulted in delivery going out that same day. My gift recipients in Iowa have received their gift and were so thrilled to receive a dozen beautifully hand-picked avocados in the middle of February. It was the quintessential California gift, which I will send again.
